Iles Family

The Iles family were tenants of Lord Yarborough at North Farm until 1871 when the estate was bought by William Wright.  Francis Walwyn Iles moved to Great Limber Grange and sold off all his stock at a sale, a report of which is attached below.  It seems Francis W Iles kept a well known and highly respected flock of Lincolnshire Longwool Sheep at Wold Newton and frequently sold rams - several auction advertisements are attached below.

Several members of the Iles family are buried in the churchyard:

Basnett Iles, Elizabeth Iles, Frances Iles, Francis Iles, Frances Jane Iles, Francis Iles, Francis Walwyn Iles, Jane Iles, John Arthur Iles and Mary Iles.
